Senior Commerical Manager - Shipping

Our client is an international shipping, maritime services and logistics organization with offices in Curaçao and Aruba, serving the Dutch Caribbean and representing international container lines and ship owners. We seek an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to drive growth across Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire.

• Drive commercial growth across Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire, focusing on revenue, cargo volumes and market share.
• Develop customers, cargo flows and inter-island trade lanes and identify opportunities for additional shipping and maritime services.
• Build strong relationships with key accounts, shipping principals, terminals, port authorities and other commercial and governmental partners.
• Translate market developments and customer needs into opportunities and coordinate pricing, capacity and priorities with international teams.
• Work closely with local operations, regional offices and management to strengthen commercial performance.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s level and at least 5 years of commercial experience in shipping, maritime, liner agency, freight forwarding or international logistics.
• Proven success in business development, key account management and developing customers and cargo volumes.
• Strong shipping market knowledge; container shipping, trade lane development and/or tramp business experience is an advantage.
• Entrepreneurial, results-oriented and hands-on, with excellent English. Proficiency in Dutch, Papiamentu and/or Spanish, as well as affinity with the Dutch Caribbean, are strong advantages.
• Strong business acumen and leadership skills, with the ability to work across functions and teams.
• Willingness to travel between Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire.
